The Society for the Preservation of Historic Thornhill makes Thornhill Archives accessible to everyone wishing to learn more about Thornhill history through the extensive documentation in our collection. Historians, genealogists, students, and others, are encouraged to come and see what the Thornhill Archives has to offer.

The Thornhill Archives is located in the historic William Walton Armstrong House at 42 Old Yonge St., Thornhill.

PLEASE NOTE: The Archives is run entirely by volunteers, therefore access is available by appointment only. At this time, we do not offer regular hours of operation. Please contact us to arrange an appointment.

We regret that our facility is not wheelchair accessible at this time. If this poses a restriction for you, please inform us and we will make alternate arrangements to make our holdings available to you.

Copying facilities
The Archives has photocopying and scanning facilities, however, if you require photographic or higher quality copies, please allow at least one week for us to carry our your request.
